——the 7th CBT 100 in Shanghai

  On 2 nd Dec. 2007, the 7 th China Business Top 100, organized by China Enterprise Reform and Development Society, Warton Economic Institute and "Economic Herald" was in Shanghai held.

   "The top 100 Chinese listed enterprises" was first published in 2001, in which year the 1st CBT 100 was opened. Since then, “The top 100” and “CBT 100” has witnessed the glorious history of the most outstanding Chinese listed enterprises increasingly.

In 2006, the total amount of the realized profit of the listed 100 enterprises set up a new record, arrived 471.9 Billion Yuan (RMB). The amount was 8.8 times as much as the amount in 2000. These 100 enterprises that accounted for 7% of the listed enterprises made but 75% of the total profit of all listed companies. The Top 100 have not only occupied the more important places in the listed ones, but also become the pillar of China 's national economy.

“The 7th CBT 100” is the pageant of China 's financial elites in 2007. The most outstanding leaders of “The top 100 listed enterprises in 2006” , the officers, experts and scholars all over the country, about 100 people in all have attended the pageant and contributed to China's economic development.

“The 7th CBT 100” has made a research on how to implement the 17th CPC congress spirit, to establish the enterprises' scientific development concept, to enhance enterprises' social responsibility, to create a harmonious enterprise, to improve enterprises' synthetic creativity in wealth and to maximize the enterprise value. Firstly, the CBT chairman, president of China Enterprise Reform and Development Society Shangquan Gao has made an opening speech with the title of “Only reform and opening up can develop China ”. After an comprehensive summarization of the experience and achievements of reform and opening up and a deep analysis of the problems in development, he has pointed out that the reform should be fully promoted according to the demands on scientific development and social harmony. In succession, the Vice Minister of Policy Research Office of CPC Central Committee Xinli Zheng has expounded in his report the significance of the 17th CPC congress for China 's economic development and analyzed the decision-making strategy of enterprises in the new period. Ouze Wang in China Security Regulatory Commission has reviewed the development course of China 's capital market and the listed companies and pointed out the main problems that still exist at present. He also pointed out that CSRC should strengthen supervision by adjusting concept, quomodo and system, so that China 's capital market and listed companies could develop healthier. The representative of listed 100, general manager of Yanzhou Coal Mining Deyu Yang has announced the proposition of “the enterprises' social responsibility” in his speech with title of “harmonious development: social responsibility of China 's listed companies in the new period”. The executive director of CBT 100 and president of Warton Economic Institute Hanyao Shen has pointed out in his speech “big and strong — the scientific concept of development” that from the macroeconomic perspective, “fast and well” is the scientific concept of development in China and on the microeconomic level, “big and strong” is the scientific concept of development for enterprises. It required enterprises not only to maximize the profit but also to optimize the management of market value in order to maximize the value of the entire enterprise.

“The 7th CBT 100” was also the celebration ceremony for Chinese entrepreneurs. In order to demonstrate the outstanding achievement of the top 100 listed companies and their leaders and to sparkplug the concept that enterprises should create wealth for the community, the forum also held a ceremony for “2006 CBT 100” to award certifications and prizes to the top 100 listed companies, outstanding entrepreneurs and secretaries of board chairman as well. General manager of Yanzhou Coal Mining Deyu Yang, board chairman of Baosteel Baojun Ai, President of China Merchants Bank Weihua Ma, President of Datang International Power Generation Co. Ltd. Yi Zhang, board chairman of Shenzhen OCT Pingchun Liu, President of Laigang group Mingmin Li, board chairman of Lu'an Environment Energy Runhou Ren, etc. 15 entrepreneurs were awarded “outstanding entrepreneurs of China's listed companies in 2006” . Ying Chen of Baosteel, Caigong Chi of Jinan Steel and Iron group corporation, etc. have been awarded “top ten outstanding secretary of China's listed companies in 2006”
